Working with clay is all about transformations. 
The Bible tells us we have been created from the dust of the Earth, that God molds and shapes us like clay into the people we are.  As a potter I don't perform miracles, but I can take a piece of shapeless, pliable material that has little use and process it into a vessel that is solid, serviceable and aesthetically pleasing.  This transformation of mud to pot reminds me of our origins as humans and never ceases to fascinate me.  
    Pottery engages the spiritual, emotional and physical dimensions of my existence and gives me a sense of immense contentment.  Any talent I possess in working with clay is a gift from God and I am blessed to be able to create with it.  I hope to give others a sense of enjoyment when they experience my work as well.
